This year, Hong Kong Culture Festival is honoured to collaborate with Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong, organising Korean Buddhist Monk Drumming Performance. The Korean Buddhist Drum is known as a drum which conveys the teachings of the Buddha as its sound shakes off distracting thoughts and encourages people to learn the Buddha’s teachings. As one of the highlights of the Korean Buddhist Culture, special guest monks Ji-hyoung and Deung-myoung, the winners of Buddhist drumming competitions in Korea, will show their sophisticated Buddhist drumming skills to Hong Kong. There will also be a special opportunity to talk with the monks and learn how to play drums at the workshop.
