Approaching its 250th anniversary, a string of exhibitions and events are held across the world to commemorate this milestone of Christie’s. One of which is a two-day education conference titled ‘Creating Markets, Collecting Art’, aiming to reflect the collaborative, continuing and interdisciplinary study of the work of art.
The two-day conference, which commences on 14th July 2016, will focus on examining the relationship between commerce, collecting and the idea of the ‘academy’. To put into practice, a series of academic sessions and panel discussion will be involved to explore the idea of collecting art.
