In hopes of bringing new cultures and lifestyles to the islands around Seto Inland Sea while retaining their distinct cultures and traditions, the international art festival ‘Setouchi Triennales’ is held for artists to ponder onto the paradox of glocalisation and how it threatens the vitality of one’s local cultures.
Numerous artists are invited by the organiser to participate and collaborate in this community art project. They come from all over the world, including Australia, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea etc.
